Captain Dan was Awesome! He goes above and beyond to ensure his passengers have a great time. We used Bokeelia Water Taxi to get to our vacation rental on North Captiva Island and back to the mainland 10 days later and we will never use anyone else. Not only are Captain Dan's prices good, but his boat is spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Dan is a GREAT tour guide too. We were thinking that the "ferry" over to the island would be exhausting after our 24 hour drive to Pine Island and we were sure the two little ones would be cranky. Not the case! My youngest says the two boat rides were the highlight of his vacation (and it was a really fun vacation!) All 6 of us really enjoyed both boat trips and can't wait to visit Captain Dan again next summer.

Dan is the most experienced and most dependable captain in the Area! He can get you to ALL of the cool "best kept secrets" in and around Charlotte Harbor, Pine Island Sound and he knows all the acres of backwater. Great equipment, fair price, everything you could want in a skipper... a charter with Captain Dan is a can't miss!

Dan Ballou is the best! My husband, Darren and I shared a trip to Cabbage Key with my sister in law and brother in law (Joyce and Dan Himebaugh). Being from Michigan and have never visited the area we were amazed at the dolphins who followed us. Dan was full of knowledge about the private islands and even tried to whistle (mock the Egretts) we passed on our little cruise. I laughed so much and loved hearing the stories our Captain Dan had. I felt like a little kid and will forever remember this vacation for as long as I live. We plan on returning next year and you can bet your bottom dollar that we will reserve another trip with Captain Dan Ballou with Bokeelia Water Taxi again.
